Notices to eBay Sellers

Item Descriptions. If you are an eBay seller, you are welcome to quote or adapt my descriptions for your eBay listings, but I would appreciate your giving credit to “futuristguy at LOTR Collector Notes.” Also, please note when text you use from here is quoted from some other website, and give credit to that site instead.

Item Images. However, eBay rules do not allow you to use images of other people’s items in your postings unless they are part of eBay’s shared photo system. These are not. Your potential eBuyers deserve to see the actual items you are selling, not the items that have been in my collection.

Also, please do not copy my information pages/posts or images onto any other website without prior written permission.

Thanks for respecting my work and my wishes on this material.

Intellectual Property Issues. The LOTR Collector Notes website is meant to serve as a source of information and entertainment to its readers. No rights or transfer of usage is implied by the presence of any information or image here. I make every effort to maintain the copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights of those who produced the materials and memorabilia mentioned. I only use stock photos from other websites when that is explicitly allowed, I seek to abide by their “terms of use.” When I quote other sources, I seek to abide by the U.S. rules of “fair use.” If I’ve accidentally overstepped boundaries, or if you have corrections or additions to site information, please let me know through the Contact page, and I’ll take care of changes as quickly as possible.

For more details on ethics and intellectual property issues, see the Copyrights and VeRO Notices page.
